About Us: Located just off US 45
in Henderson, Tennessee, the Magic Valley Air Force is a chartered AMA
R/C flying club. With a flyover area of over 200 acres, paved runway, and
adjoining 600 foot grass runway. there is more than enough airspace for
the largest models. For turbine powered or giant scale
aircraft requiring a longer runway, the paved runway was extended to 575
feet in 2005. The pit area and picnic area feature covered pavilions, and
a modern restroom is available during the warmer months. All types of R/C
aircraft are welcome.
Club Members and their guests are welcome to fly any day of the week,
but Monday and Thursday mornings, along with Saturday and Sunday are the
most popular times.
Safety
Features: This year, chain link fencing was added to the front
and rear of the pavilions, and the spectator area between the pavilions
was protected by 10 foot high chain link fencing.
Additionally, we have installed seven protected pilot stations, and
recently have acquired a number of safety tables to use when starting or
servicing aircraft. The purpose of the tables is to allow pilots to start
and test engines without having to kneel on the ground in front of the
propeller. For larger Aircraft, a number of tail holders are available
now.
AMA License Notice: To provide proper liability
coverage for the owner/host of our facility, we require that ALL
pilots hold a current AMA license when flying at our field. The
only exception to this rule is for student pilots flying on a trainer
cord with a club certified instructor pilot. Students must obtain
their registration before being allowed to solo. AMA Parkflyers are welcome as
guests of a Club member
